Zeolite is just beginning to get the recognition it deserves as a superior detoxifier. Zeolite removes heavy metals such as mercury, lead and cadmium safely from the body. As a chelation agent it takes a little longer than traditional drug therapy, but it does not remove things like iron and potassium, which your body needs. It also has no known side effects.
There is a lot of confusion over which form of zeolite is safest and most effective. I have done a lot of research on this topic. I use this particular type of detoxification for myself, I give it to my children and my cats, and I try to help people like you with knowledge that will help them understand my choice, and make a decision that feels right personally.
There are 2 reasons that Original Zeolite Powder is one of 2 brands I trust (thus far). You must first understand that this mineral is mined from the ground, and the properties that help it pick up heavy metals and toxins from your body are also at work in nature. So when this mineral is mined, it already carries a burden of toxins inside. The company that produces the original zeolite powder product has a proprietary method of cleaning the cages that hold heavy metals that they picked up in nature.
Second, the particles in the Zeolite Powder Zeolite Pure product are uniformly small enough to mostly get through the intestinal wall and into the blood stream (about 80% get excreted through the urine.) Powdered products producers naturally ask you take more of their product. This is because in the scientific studies, the scientists used 2500-5000 mg of zeolite powder for effectiveness. Properly cleaned they can pick up more. Without proper size control, most of the zeolite powder is simply moving through the intestines and exiting the other end, never having entered the body to remove the build up of toxins. Zeolite Powder is micronized for optimal absorption.
The liquid product is not really a mineral that has been somehow magically transformed into a liquid. The zeolite particle is a solid mineral that is formed when molten lava hits salt water and the rapid cooling causes it to crystalize. Liquid zeolite is actually micronized powdered zeolite suspended in water in very small amounts. This delivery system is good for children who can't swallow capsules or powder mixed in water.
Some companies selling powdered products will use the argument that all of the studies were done using the powdered mineral. This is true. That is why I now recommend a high quality powdered product as well.
The particular brand of powder I recommend is micronized to a size of, on average, 2-4 microns. It is cleaned properly, and is easy to take. Best of all, it is SIGNIFICANTLY less expensive, and you get a lot more zeolite per serving (hundreds of times more). Powder or Liquid… which one is better? It depends.
