This certainly comes as no surprise! ASD (Auto Surf Daily) is an ‘autosurf program where-by advertisers place their sites in rotation and members are supposedly paid to visit (surf) the sites. The thing about an ‘auto-surf’ program is that you simly sign in to the site and the site’s rotator does the rest, rotating advertisers sites while you go do the laundry, file your nails or walk the dog.
The real money is for the advertisers who buy "ad packs" and then get a return on their purchase of x% more. It is really just an excuse to have a ponzi that owners can convince the gullible masses is legal. It will go the way of other ponzi scams auto-surf programs before it, with a lot of people having lost a lot of money and the feds ordering some of the money that is left paid out to the ‘victims’ (stupid people) who invested in this thing.
As wrong as I think ponzi’s are, I don’t have a lot of sympathy for the people who lost money in this deal. Nobody really thought for a second that they were paying for advertising. They invested money hoping that they would earn money back. It doesn’;t take a genius to figure out that every cent you get over your initial investment is coming out of the pocket of someone else!
Friday, August 1st 2008 afternoon update:
Upon direction from the U.S. Attorney’s Office in the District of Columbia, ASD will not be able to move funds into company accounts, or out of them. We will work to resolve this problem, and return to normal operation, as soon as we are permitted to do so.
